The 24th Annual Summer Nights Series of outdoor music, dinners, cocktails, picnics, dancing, and fun for kids, continues on July 16, 2016 with Diego's Umbrella, a unique band that captures California's cultural multiplicity with enthusiasm, humor and decadence.
The second of 5 Summer Saturday Night outdoor concerts brings Diego's Umbrella to The Osher Marin JCC on July 16, 2016 with a celebration of cultural multiplicity that IS the San Francisco Bay Area. Labeled as “gypsy-punk”, “ska-infused groove” “electo-pop” “anthemic Brit-pop” “nouveau hipsters” with influences, encompassing “reggae, flamenco, techno, mariachi, lounge-jazz” as well as “frenzied Eastern European-influenced flamenco guitar and fiddle” Diego's Umbrella is hard to define as a specific genre. What is easy to say is they are high energy, talented and super fun.
“The band's music has that punk vibe that gets your head nodding, as well as the busy-ness of klezmer that gets your feet moving. They have a knack for pleasing crowds, so if you ever have the opportunity to catch a Diego's Umbrella show….” - That Music Magazine
"Diego's Umbrella has created a worldwide smorgasbord of fun music that ultimately plays like a cultured clown's party mix." - Performer Magazine
