Doobie Decibel System features band members Jason Crosby, Roger McNamee, Pete Sears, Dan "Lebo" Lebowitz and Jay Lane. As the Dewey Decimal System organizes library materials by discipline or field of study, DDS throws its diverse musical talents together to create riffs and songs that cross genre and generation. On any given night, DDS play their original songs and dip into rock 'n' roll archives playing a variety of classics from The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead and many more. Oakland based “La Misa Negra” brings their live, high energy, Afro-Colombian dance music to the Osher Marin JCC's Summer Nights' family-friendly outdoor music, festival on August 6, 2016 in San Rafael.
The Osher Marin JCC's final Summer Saturday Night outdoor concerts celebrates the close of the season with La Misa Negra. Continuing to leave the Bay Area wanting more, and fresh off of BottleRock, this 8-piece Oakland band plays a unique blend of 1950's & 60's style cumbia and high-energy, Afro-Colombian dance music. Powered by horn and accordion-driven riffs, a fierce rhythm section, and a vintage Colombian sound expect an electrifying performance that explodes with infectious dance grooves and punk rock energy. More than just a band... It's a PARTY!
The wooden dance floor comes out over the turf, and the evening begins with a Latin dance lesson!

The Osher Marin JCC is thrilled to present Pacific Mambo Orchestra for the fourth of 5 Summer Saturday Night outdoor concerts. This 19-piece Latin Big Band orchestra plays salsa, Latin Jazz, cha cha cha, bachata, and more. Their 2012 crowd-funded first album (self-titled 'Pacific Mambo Orchestra) led them to win a Grammy in the "Best Tropical Latin Album" category in 2014. San Francisco's Premiere Salsa Big Band calls out for dancing and so the wooden dance floor comes out over the turf, and the evening begins with a Mambo dance lesson!
