Doobie Decibel System features band members Jason Crosby, Roger McNamee, Pete Sears, Dan "Lebo" Lebowitz and Jay Lane. As the Dewey Decimal System organizes library materials by discipline or field of study, DDS throws its diverse musical talents together to create riffs and songs that cross genre and generation. On any given night, DDS play their original songs and dip into rock 'n' roll archives playing a variety of classics from The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead and many more. Their distinctive electric style is heard in every song while they continue to surprise the audience by playing improvisations and creating a unique sound that encapsulates their talents and energy.

15TH ANNUAL NEW WORKS FESTIVAL on August 12, 2016 in Palo Alto, CA : This August, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley will gather playwrights and composers from across the nation for its 2016 New Works Festival at Palo Alto's L ucie Stern Theatre. Audiences are invited to attend performances, participate in a panel discussion with the artists, and share in the journey of developing new works. TheatreWorks Silicon Valley's Director of New Works Giovanna Sardelli has announced this year's festival line-up, which includes two plays, three musicals, and a next generation musical event. Highlights include a new drama by Pulitzer Prize finalist Rajiv Joseph that explores the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand and a romantic drama based on the life of Pablo Neruda by rising playwright Dipika Guha. In addition to viewing and providing comments on the readings, festival-goers will have the opportunity to interact directly with the writers in a Meet the Artists Panel.
