Baraka Moon

Baraka Moon-Baraka Moon-Sebastopol-5-21

Baraka Moon on May 21, 2016 in Sebastopol, CA : Peacewave presents Kirtan Concert and Dance with Baraka Moon
Uniting influences from mystical Sufi songs, Indian ragas, African percussion & Australia n Aboriginal didgeridoo, BARAKA MOON delivers soulful dance music with a positive message of peace for the whole world.
Baraka Moon is a global fusion band known for their exciting trance-dance music and rhythms based on Pakistani Sufi and other Hindustani tunes. Members Sukhawat Ali Khan (vocals, harmonium), Stephen Kent (didjeridu, percussion, bass), Anastasi Mavrides (guitar, vocals), the late Geoffrey Gordon (voice, tabla and frame drums), and Peter Warren (drums, djembe) produced a more direct, more pure devotional Sufi and Hindu EP album while maintaining their characteristic styling. Two of the tracks are reprised for this collection, dedicated to original member Gordon. Kent's earthy didgeridu grounds the music, the harmonium provides, well, harmony and melody, the guitar ornaments, and the drums drive the entire ensemble. Sukhawat Ali's amazing sweet voice (he the son of vocal raga master, Salamat Ali Khan) soars. Juley Juley is a happy Hindi salutation. Jai Radhe Shyam, recorded with Gordon, is a Hindu devotion to the consort of Krishna, Shyam. Allah Hoo is perhaps the most well-known Sufi devotion that has different melodies across the planet; the Pakistani Punjabi one here is the most familiar.

After a hugely successful tour of the USA, Canada & Pakistan in 2015, Fanna-fi-Allah will reunite again for their 16 th annual Qawwali tour for the summer of 2016. Qawwali is a passionate devotional practice in which the fire of divine love (ishq) is ecstatically expressed through the mystical verses of Sufi poets, sung in Urdu, Farsi, Hindi and Punjabi. The origins of Qawwali music date back about a thousand years to the first sufi mystics who came to India. Qawwali has evolved into an immense art form spanning over hundreds of years of poets, languages & musical evolutions. Qawwali is associated with the ama' - a spiritual gathering of the Chishti Order whose religious context serves to bring members of the order into trance-like states, that makes them more aware of their relationship with God.
Founded 15 years ago by Tahir Qawwal and Aminah Chishti (the first woman tabla player acknowledged and revered by Pakistani qawwals), a "concert" by FFA is much more than an opportunity to sit and listen to interesting music. The seven (or 8 or 9) members ...read more

The Breath of Life Workshop

147_4740

The Breath of Life Workshop on June 10, 2016 in Sonoma, CA : There was a time in our distant past when we were in Unity, we lived the oneness, living and seeing the One Spirit in everything. We had trans-persona l memory, what was available to one was available to all.
When we fell 13, 000 years ago, we move from Unity into separation; looking out at a world that wasn't us, as though we were all of a sudden separate and isolated entities standing apart from the rest of the creation.
This is what really happened; we moved from our Heart space, our Higher Self within, which only knows Unity, to our minds, which only knows separation. We became our minds, and because the mind is a polarized instrument, we are in a state of continual judgement.
All of the problems we have in life come from judgment; from insisting that reality should be different from how it is. Whenever we do this, we lock the energy up tight, and always in the same place, in our physical bodies. We then carry that stuck energy as pain, stress, tension, illness and disease that we then try to avoid feeling.
You may have noticed that reality is not the way it "should be" reality is the way it is. And in order to be creative and at peace, it is necessary to find a more useful relationship to the reality of your experience.
Your Higher Self is still within you, and it functions well beyond that of any capabilities that your mind might have. Reconnecting with this severed aspect of yourself gives you access to your unlimited potential; where you have an unlimited healing capability, along with reliable access to an infinite supply of inner peace, unconditional love, joy, creative expression ...read more

The Flower of Life Workshop

147_4740

The Flower of Life Workshop on June 3, 2016 in Sonoma, CA : We will explore special ways of opening the heart to reawaken compassion, unconditional love, and inner harmony so that you can have a direct experien ce of the Oneness while learning to activate your MerKaBa. My Flower of Life workshops are experiential, while still giving the necessary "left brain" information required for a full understanding of the course material.
Using the universal language of sacred geometry, I will show you the holographic nature of the universe; how absolutely everyone and everything is inseparable from the Oneness of Source Energy, and the One Spirit moving throughout the Cosmos.
I will also show you the illusory nature of this reality, and how its' base foundation is waveform, or vibrating energy, where incredible amounts of information are stored. From there, we will look at how this waveform information construct is decoded by our "body computers" into the world we think we are experiencing; and how in fact, we are creating the entire show from within. This entire Reality, including your body, is a holographic projection of your consciousness!!
Once this necessary ground work has been given, we can then see how we have the exact same energy fields around our bodies as do planets, galaxies, and everything else, down to and including sub-atomic particles. We will then learn how to "turn on" these fields, thus activating our light bodies, or MerKaBa fields.
When you know that everything is made of pure energy, you can truly transform your mind, emotions, heart and body to bring about an abundance of health and happiness into your life. My Flower of Life course, based upon ancient wisdom, is a methodology that teaches you to work with this pure Source Energy to access both power and wisdom.
Most participants ...read more
