Breema: Opening Up to This Moment on April 16, 2016 in Port Townsend, WA : We all need support to be more present, balanced and available each day, and to nurture ourselves in the midst of life's demands. By learning how to c ome to body-mind connection via practicing Breema in the nonjudgmental atmosphere of a class, we become more and more familiar with the experience of presence.
Breema is a comprehensive system that uses movement and touch, integrated with universal principles, to support becoming present and remaining present. The two movement components—Self-Breema exercises and Breema bodywork—are ideal venues for practicing body-mind connection in the direction of body, mind, and feelings working together in harmony. The mind becomes receptive, the feelings supportive, and the body more vital.
When body, mind and feelings work together in unity, we are present, and our activity nurtures rather than drains us. Practicing Breema brings increased flexibility, vitality, and a tangible sense of wholeness and aliveness, and the principles can be applied in any activity or situation of life.
No prior bodywork experience needed, but please be comfortable sitting and working on a carpeted floor.

Harmony Is in the Moment on April 10, 2016 in Santa Cruz, CA : Breema introduces us to a new way of living and relating to life, based on the Nine Universal Principles of Harmony. Instead of trying to navigate thr ough life by relying our subjective interpretation of events, Breema shows us how to unify mind, body and feelings to become present. When we are present, we can respond more naturally and harmoniously to whatever life puts in front of us.
This will be practical and experiential introduction to Breema bodywork, Self-Breema exercises, and the Nine Principles of Harmony as tools for becoming present. You will leave with the ability to practice what you learn for the mutual benefit of yourself and those you work with.
On Friday, April 9 from 6:30-8:30pm at the same venue, receive a mini-session, experience the nurturing and energizing effect of Self-Breema exercises and Breema bodywork, and discover how the Nine Principles of Harmony can support you to be present in any activity or condition of life. No charge for the evening, but please contact the Breema Center to reserve your mini-session.
Both the workshop and evening event will be led Jon Schreiber, Director of the Breema Center in Oakland, along with local Certified Breema Instructors from Santa Cruz.
Continuing Education: 3 hours CE available for bodyworkers and massage therapists, and MFTs, LCSWs, and LPCCs.
The bodywork is done fully clothed. No prior bodywork experienced is needed, but please be comfortable sitting, kneeling, and working on a padded floor.
