Integral Flow Evening Taster

Integral Flow Evening Taster on March 3, 2016 in Berkeley, CA : Out of Time and Into Presence...
Creating Opening, Oneness and Healing in the We Field
Register asap for this evening program, as attendance will be l imited by the size of the room.
Bence Ganti is a master facilitator with 20 years of experience in this field. Bence is highly skilled at coalescing and deepening a beautiful we-space, as well as doing individual work within a group setting and seamlessly going from one aspect to another. This class introduces us to the Flow Experience, a small taste of what is possible when a group comes together in this way.
Author and psychologist Csikszentmihalyi describes Flow as a highly satisfactory peak experience when we have an intense and focused concentration on the present with heightened awareness, and we drop the control of thinking mind, temporarily getting out of time into the eternal presence being one with the moment.
Bence's approach extends the original flow concepts into its relational and spiritual dimensions on the basis of a transpersonal and integral understanding. Based on the experience of working with many groups, he suggests that there is a spiritual field beneath the flow experience that actualizes itself through us when we are in flow, especially when we are connected during our flow experiences. This is a form of the “new-we” and a higher stage of being together.

A workshop for therapists and other helping professionals
wi th Sheila Rubin, LMFT, RDT/BCT and Bret Lyon, PhD, SEP, BCC

13 CEUs for MFTs & LCSWs (PCE #4456)
Shame is an embodied belief that “Something is wrong with me.” Because shame exists in the body as well as in the mind, it is helpful for therapists to work with shame somatically. In this workshop, we will explore how to utilize somatic techniques to connect more quickly with the client and forge a strong therapeutic alliance.
We will:
• Focus on using breathing and grounding to resource the client, becoming more aware of our own breathing and expanding it in the process.
• Learn ways to help clients repair the disconnect between self and others—and between parts of the self—that have been created by shaming, inappropriate behavior or abuse.
• Explore how to keep our clients more present in the room with us and counter over- verbalization, dissociation and freezing.
• Learn techniques and theory from Wilhelm Reich (the father of somatics), Peter Levine (Somatic Experiencing), Ron Kurtz (Hakomi) and Eugene Gendlin (Focusing).
To register:
Please send full payment or a $100 deposit (with your email and phone number) to:

Baraka Moon Ecstatic Sufi Trance

Baraka Moon-Subud-Ctr-Print

Baraka Moon Ecstatic Sufi Trance on February 20, 2016 in Sebastopol, CA : Baraka Moon Ecstatic Sufi Trance Grooves
Uniting influences from mystical Sufi trance songs, Indian ragas, African percussion & the Australian Aborigi nal didgeridoo, BARAKA MOON lovingly delivers soulful and spiritually-charged dance music with a positive message of peace for the whole world!
“Baraka Moon is a global fusion band known for their exciting trance-dance music and rhythms based on Pakistani Sufi and other Hindustani tunes. Members Sukhawat Ali Khan (vocals, harmonium), Stephen Kent (didjeridu, percussion, bass), Anastasi Mavrides (guitar, vocals), the late Geoffrey Gordon (voice, tabla and frame drums), and Peter Warren (drums, djembe) produced a more direct, more pure devotional Sufi and Hindu EP album while maintaining their characteristic styling. Two of the tracks are reprised for this collection, dedicated to original member Gordon. Kent's earthy didgeridu grounds the music, the harmonium provides, well, harmony and melody, the guitar ornaments, and the drums drive the entire ensemble. Sukhawat Ali's amazing sweet voice (he the son of vocal raga master, Salamat Ali Khan) soars. Juley Juley is a happy Hindi salutation. Jai Radhe Shyam, recorded with Gordon, is a Hindu devotion to the consort of Krishna, Shyam. Allah Hoo is perhaps the most well-known Sufi devotion that has different melodies across the planet; the Pakistani Punjabi one here is the most familiar.
